Hi! I’m Emily, the Founder of Stella Harper Events.
Wait, if my name is Emily, then who is Stella Harper? Reasonable question! The company is named after my twins, Stella and Harper, so if you accidentally call me Stella or Mrs. Harper, it won't be the first or the last time! I am obsessed with my three kiddos, the cool town we live in, our adorable pup, lake days and of course my husband of almost 12 years!
I have been planning events for over 10 years and although I enjoy planning all sorts of events, weddings quickly became my passion. Being able to be a part of such a huge moment for two families, having helped them along the way with all of those crazy fun wedding planning decisions, to see it all come together so beautifully, it’s hard not to become passionate! Hundreds of weddings later, I still feel that excitement and anticipation for our couples as their big day approaches. I have a genuine desire to ensure my couples are happy and to carry out their wishes as if they were my own. How lucky to be over a decade into my career and still love every minute!

My journey into event planning began in college while working for a local catering company. After graduation I was armed with a Bachelors and Masters degree and gave it a go teaching high school for a couple of years. While I thought teaching was supposed to be my career path, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant to do something else. It’s quite a leap to switch gears after so much hard work – to do/be something else entirely. My family has been wonderfully supportive, the vendor relationships formed over the years have been invaluable and I simply could not be any happier to be where I am.
